Iranian ‘Talker’ to vie at Tampere Film Festival

Iranian short film ‘Talker’ is to compete at the 2021 Tampere Film Festival in Finland.

Iranian short film ‘Talker’ has been selected to compete at the 51st edition of the Tampere Film Festival in Finland.

Directed by Mehrshad Ranjbar, the 13-minute film tells the story of an old woman who has taken care of her sick husband for many years, but an incident disturbs the order of her life.

The cast list of the short film includes Maryam Nourafkan and Abbas Jalallou.

‘Talker’ has previously won the best film award at the 2020 edition of the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.

The five-day Tampere Film Festival screens more than 400 films and hosts hundreds of filmmakers and professionals.

According to the festival's official website, “The Tampere Film Festival will be held this year from 10 to 14 March. Due to the unpredictable Covid-19 pandemic, the film festival government has decided that the festival will be held online only this year”.
